2. Mandatory vs. Voluntary Disclosure
Disclosure of requested information is mandatory for service members seeking authorized absence or emergency transit passes. Failure to provide complete and accurate information may result in disapproval of leave or delay in emergency travel clearance.
3. Cryptographic Data Protection & Security
All interactions with this defense clearinghouse are protected by 256-bit Transport Layer Security (TLS). Personal records are stored in hardened database repositories and accessed strictly on a need-to-know basis by authorized commanding officers and clearance personnel.
4. Official Warning & Penalties
This system is for authorized official military and defense personnel use only. Unauthorized attempts to upload false credentials, alter official travel passes, or impersonate defense personnel are strictly prohibited and subject to criminal prosecution under 18 U.S.C. § 1030 and the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ).
